Completion of Stage one at Sandy Hill 

Buxton Construction is proud to have completed stage one of the $135 million Sandy Hill apartment development by Blueprint Developments. Stage one of the luxury residential project includes 190 apartments over eight levels, complete with swimming pool, fitness centre, conference facilities and a café.

Buxton wins contract for high-end aged care facility 

Buxton Construction has won the tender for Regis Health Care’s latest development – Regis Malvern East. Designed by Smith + Tracey, Regis Malvern East is a $30 million high-end nursing home consisting of four-levels over a basement. The project incorporates resident accommodation, shared dining and living spaces, a commercial kitchen, laundry facilities, billiard room, and a vertical town centre with a cafe, hairdresser, day spa, library and doctors’ consulting rooms.

Top Awards for Buxton 

Buxton Construction has received a number of awards from the Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV) and the Australian Institute of Building (AIB). Being recognised for achieving the highest assessment in the MBAV Specialist Contractors’ Collaboration Award proves we have the highest respect from our contractors and therefore possess the pivotal attributes required to deliver projects in the $50 million plus category.

Completion of Eastern Golf Club 

Eastern Golf Club’s $11 million club house and golf academy was completed in April 2015. Buxton’s involvement commenced prior to the documentation stage to provide input on a wide range of construction, design and structural issues.

Awarded the Monash University Multi Level Car Park 

Buxton Construction has won a competitive tender for a full design and construct contract to build a $7.5 million, two-level structural steel-framed extension for approximately 650 cars to an existing operational car park at Monash University’s Clayton Campus.

Award for RSPCA headquarters 

The RSPCA Burwood East facility has won the 2015 City of Whitehorse Built Environment Awards Institutional category. Designed by Bamford-Dash and built by Buxton Construction, the $18.5 million project involved constructing a striking four-level contemporary extension on the Burwood Highway site, installing a new facade to the existing two-level building, refurbishment of the existing structure and extensive landscaping incorporates environmentally designed wetlands with a recycling plant to treat all water from the facility which is used for washing down animal pens.

Topping out at St Joseph’s Mews 

Buxton Construction has reached a milestone in the construction of St Joseph’s Mews with the structure now “topped out”. The $35 million independent living facility will consist of 69 luxury apartments over five levels, as well as basement parking, constructed around heritage-listed St Joseph’s Church and the original schoolhouse, which will form the administration, dining and lounge areas for the facility.

The crane at Gardenside, Sandy Hill has now been erected! 

June 30th marked the day the crane was erected on site at Gardenside. Gardenside is the second stage of a three stage residential development at Sandy Hill, Sandringham. The $38 million dollar project is in full swing and comprises 141 apartments over five-levels, sitting above two levels of basement parking. The project is due for completion mid 2016.

Early completion of CaSPA Care 

Buxton Construction has completed the $25.4 million CaSPA Care project one month ahead of schedule. This has enabled CaSPA Care to obtain occupancy permits with residents to move in mid July.

The four-level, 146 bed aged care complex, with basement parking, involved the refurbishment of a two-storey heritage-listed building which was converted to incorporate the administration and community facilities for low and high care residents. Buxton Construction was responsible for the management of the development from conception through to construction, including obtaining the town-planning permit.

New project – The North Fitzroy Library and Community Hub 

Buxton Construction has successfully won a new tender, The North Fitzroy Library and Community Hub.

The North Fitzroy Library and Community Hub will provide a brand new four level, six star, green star library complex in North Fitzroy. The $13 million (approx) design will incorporate maternal and child health services, playgroup, community, seniors, council and general community spaces. A large roof garden will be provided for outdoor activities.
