Alfred Hospital - Australian Centre for Health Innovation

Fit-out to a hospital education and training facility for the Australian Centre for Health Innovation in the Burnett Tower at the Alfred Hospital.

The project included fitting out offices, an exact replica of a modern-day operating suite, control room, a four-bed procedures ward, clinical skills observation area, laboratories and amenities to enable clinicians to participate in training under realistic simulated conditions.

As the centre - including the area adjacent to the construction site - was occupied, every possible step was required to minimise disruption to hospital staff and their daily activities.

Buxton Construction was also responsible for co-ordinating the supply and installation of highly advanced audio-visual equipment.
