The project involved fitting out an empty space within the Austin Hospital precinct to the exacting standards laid down by the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research to ensure consistency with the world-wide organisation global specifications for its facilities.
The fit-out included construction of offices and a laboratory with special architect-designed benches plus installation of CO2 lines and air changeover equipment to comply with the physical containment requirements associated with medical research.
The complex project was completed within the exceptionally tight program stipulated under the contract.
