Kids on Tulip
The three-level Kids on Tulip provides first-class facilities for up to 120 children ranging from babies to pre-schoolers. It incorporates a basement car park for all-weather drop-off, playrooms opening to large playgrounds, office and administration area, kitchen, pantry, laundries and staff amenities.
The building has a suspended concrete ground floor slab over the basement and a steel frame construction with lightweight in-fill to the ground and first floor levels.
A raised skillion roof and extensive glazing provide for the entry of abundant natural light while a range of bright colours is employed to make the exterior visually appealing to youngsters.
The eight playrooms - two of which can be joined to accommodate larger numbers of children - are equipped with nappy benches, bottle preparation areas and artwork sinks to cater for all age groups.
Covered verandas extend for up to four-and-a-half metres to create sheltered outdoor play areas for days when the weather is marginal.
