Martha's Point Community Centre

A single-storey community centre, designed to become both the visual centrepiece and the active hub of the retirement village, reflects the architectural elements incorporated in the existing villa units.

Constructed over a concrete slab, the use of stone, roughcast render and weatherboard gives the building empathy with its seaside locality.

An extensive port cochere flanked by natural stone pillars and landscaped gardens opens to an atrium which leads to the buildings many resident facilities including a grand dining area with coffered ceilings and diffused lighting, coffee shop, games area and bar.

A tastefully paneled library provides computer access while the fully tiled swimming pool and spa overlook the tennis court and adjacent landscaped gardens. The development also incorporates a bowling green, gymnasium, hair salon and consulting rooms for visiting medical professionals.
