Moonah Links Golf Clubhouse

The striking Moonah Links Pavilion, sited on a ridge between world-class Open and Legends Golf Courses at Moonah Links, is a contemporary building designed to be sympathetic with its environment.

Comprising a large reception hall, conference facilities, a restaurant, two bars, retail outlet and golfers’ facilities, Moonah Links pavilion is a two-level, concrete construction with a basement housing the plant room, back of house to the kitchen, golf buggy storage and service area.

Large expanses of glazing provide uninterrupted views of the courses and in the bars and dining areas coffered ceilings have been utilised to create a strong “club” ambience.

Design elements include curves to complement the undulating terrain of the surroundings plus beige-green panels and weathered timber panelling to mirror the greyish tones of the Moonah trees.
Buxtons were involved throughout the entire design phase providing input into design, cost control and issues on buildability.

The project was constructed while maintaining operations of the golf course.
