The Anchorage - Stage 1

Stage 1 of the project involved demolition – with particular attention to heritage requirements for the former Swallow and Ariell factory buildings to be retained – design and documentation plus construction of new dwellings.

The construction contract included building 36 unit shells within existing structures plus co-ordination of purchasers’ fit-out, a five-level building in the centre of the site containing six apartments and 18 two and three-storey townhouses facing Princess Street.

With Stage 2 of the project Buxton Construction was responsible for the design of an eight-level multi-unit complex and extensive preparatory work on the site.
